Jupiter Starts Region Title Defense In A Big Way

The Jupiter Warriors have dealt with a lot of adversity during the 2026 season, that has resulted in Manager Joe Giummule having to play many different lineups throughout the year.
Despite that, the Warriors finished the regular season 15-9, then won the 7A-11 title last week.
On Friday, for one of the few times all year, Jupiter was at full strength, and they picked up where they left off in last years playoffs.
The Warriors started their regional defense with a resounding 11-1, statement-making win over Palm Beach Central.
“Getting hot at the right time. Playing our best baseball at the right time,” said Giummule. “This was our best and most complete game of the season.”
One of the players getting hot at the right time, is Griffin Miller. The senior seems to have created a reputation for himself the past two offseasons, coming up big at the right times.
Friday night, that right time was in the fifth inning, when Miller launched a three-run home run, essentially putting the game out of reach at 9-0. Miller has hit multiple big home runs over the past two years, and he has been scorching hot again over the past week.
“That was our third playoff game so far this year, and that was Griffin’s third home run in those games,” said Giummule. “He has dialed in when it matters most. The entire offense today did a great job of having good at-bats, and coming up big.”
The Warriors jumped out to an early lead in the first, when Domenic DeMarzo singled in Jaden Alvarez. Mason Ryder then blasted a two-run home run to put Jupiter up 3-0.
In the third, a Maverick Labbe base hit upped the score to 6-0.
That was more than enough for Warriors ace Ethan Trivison, who was efficient, going five innings, allowing five hits and no runs. Trivison struck out four on the night.
“Ethan was Ethan tonight,” said Giummule. “Our offense gave him a nice lead early, and when we get that kind of run support for him, we aren’t going to lose too many of those games. This was a great way to start our playoff run.”

What comes next for the Warriors is a rematch of last years regional final against Park Vista. Last season, Jupiter was the higher seed, and had the home field advantage. This year, it will be the Cobras, who defeated Tohopekaliga 2-0 Friday, that will be the higher seed, and at home.
The location rarely matters when these two Palm Beach powerhouses get together. The faced each other once in 2026, with Park Vista winning 2-0, back in early April.
“We are looking forward to the challenge of going and facing Park Vista,” said Giummule. “We knew to get back to where we want to go, it would likely at some point come down to us and Park Vista. Last year it was the regional finals. This year, it will be in the regional semis. It should be a great series.”
