Young Atlantic Christian Celebrates Third Straight Win

Is there any better way to celebrate a big win than with a Big Mac?
Things are turning around quickly for the Atlantic Christian Sharks. With a newfound commitment to the program under accomplished veteran Manager Miguel Cuello, the long road to prominence has begun.
On Wednesday afternoon, Atlantic Christian savored another road win by storming its way to a 13-2 win at the Glades Day Gators. The Sharks improve to 3-2 on the early season, marking its first winning record thus far.
“Like I have said, we are young and these boys have put trust on their coaches,” Coach Cuello said. “As you know, I am here to build this program. The future is bright.”
The Sharks offered an immediate glance at that bright future by jumping right out of the gates with four runs in the top of the first inning. They never looked back.
“A great example is our eighth-grader, Anthony Tonge, who recorded his first hit as a varsity player tonight by driving in two runs,” Cuello said. “He also came in to pitch with men on second and third, and he recorded three outs with no runs.”
After filling the bases and tallying a couple of unearned runs, Tonge delivered a base hit to center field that drove in Ryan Kimmel and Tyler Perez. He added an RBI walk in the second inning.
Senior Andres Nava also drove in a pair, with an two-RBI single in the second. Jack Cooper also plated two runs with a single to right field, and Reily Campusano scored three runs.
