Lake Worth Edges Olympic Heights For 6-5 Victory

The Lake Worth Trojans went ahead early and held on the rest of the way to avoid a winless 2017 campaign by earning a 6-5 win over Olympic Heights on Friday night. Nathan Rodriguez earned the win by striking out three in four-and-a-third innings for the Trohans (1-18), and Josue Rodriguez retired the final two batters to preserve the victory and record the save. Rodriguez was also 2-for-4 at the plate, and Jarrett Cook went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs. Frankie Hernandez, Brandon O’Bryant and Sebastian Morillo were all 2-for-3 for the Lions (8-13), and Patrick Zullo went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run.
