HSBN Preseason All-American Weekend: Players Announced

From November 4th-6th, 2016, the High School Baseball Network will once again lead the way in bringing exposure to the top players in South Florida. The first annual HSBN All-American Weekend will celebrate the underclassmen that had exceptional 2016 seasons and preview the talent of the upcoming 2017 season.

The HSBN Preseason All-American Weekend will be a three day event.

The HSBN Preseason All-American Weekend will be a talent preview in which players will participate in a variety of skill-based challenges, each displaying different skills and talents. Collegiate and MLB scouts will be in attendance and the buzz behind the scenes is already brewing. ASA College Manager Jonathan Hernandez had this to say…

“As a head coach, I am eager to see all the talent that will be together for this weekend. It doesn’t get better than this from a recruiting perspective, to have all of South Florida’s premier talent at one HSBN All-American event.”

The weekend is sure to run in the efficient and dramatic style of which HSBN has gained its reputation.

On Friday, players will come together for an HSBN All-American Kick-off Dinner where players will get to socialize and enjoy the atmosphere.

The Dinner on the Diamond will be followed by a Home Run Derby featuring all of South Florida’s elite power hitting prospects.

Saturday morning and early afternoon players will be run through a combine-style workout. HSBN will record 60 times, batting exit velocity and MPH in order to update verified data for each player’s 2017 HSBN profile pages.

On Sunday live games will commence. Collegiate and MLB scouts from across the country will have access throughout the season as they search for talent to fill out their recruiting classes.

All-American teams at the event will be comprised of the top players from Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami, and teams will be coached by some of the top high school coaches in South Florida, including several state champion coaches.

In a statement from HSBN Director of Operations, Anthony Uttariello expressed his excitement about increasing recognition for players in the network.

“We have always celebrated All-American and All-District players with an awards ceremony at the Senior All-Star games, but we felt like we wanted to do more. This All-American Weekend is a chance for some of the top returning players to kick off the 2017 season, while also showcasing their skills to scouts. We are excited that we can bring this event to college coaches and MLB scouts across the country.”

The 2016 HSBN Preseason All-American Weekend is guaranteed to be a can’t-miss event for both players looking to reach scouts, and for scouts looking to get a great start on the next class of talent.
