Jake Eder struck out nine and allowed two hits in six and two-thirds innings as Atlantic topped Coral Glades 6-2 on Tuesday in an 8A regional semifinal. Justin Varisco went 2-for-3 with two two RBIs and two runs, and Alex Cordes had a hit and scored for the Eagles (20-8), who advance to a regional final Tuesday against the winner of Thursday’s game between Mater Academy and Westland Hialeah.

Kyle Farjad struck out 10 in a complete game for Seminole Ridge as it beat George Jenkins 2-1 in an 8A regional semifinal. Andrew Attaway went 2-for-3 for Seminole Ridge, which improved to 21-5-1. The Hawks move on to a regional final Tuesday against Hagerty.

John Carroll won its 3A regional final against Sagemont 7-1, capitalizing on a five-run second inning to reach the state final four. The Rams (15-12) won their fourth in a row.
