Highlights, Scores and Recaps for Thursday, March 31st, 2016

Nelson Velazquez had two hits, including a double, and drove in Omar Reyes for the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh to lift Lake Worth to a 5-4 win over Benjamin on Thursday. Angel Cruz added two hits and two runs for the Trojans (14-5), who have won six in a row.

American Heritage won its second in a row as it earned an 11-1 victory over St. Andrew’s in 4A-6. Nelson Berkwich struck out nine in five innings, and Justin Barney went 3-for-4 with a run and four RBIs for the Stallions (11-8). Carmine Lane had two hits, two runs and an RBI, and Nathan Zuckerman added two hits, scored twice and drove in a run.

Trinity Christian ran its 2A-7 record to 5-0, defeating Zion Lutheran 10-0 as Brandon McCabe and Jowenrick Daanji combine for a no-hitter. Edmund Americaan went 3-for-3 with a triple and four RBIs, and Bertram Murray had four hits and drove in three runs for the Warriors (11-6), who got their second win in a row.
