Highlights, Scores and Recaps for Wednesday, March 23rd, 2016

Santaluces won two games in a row for the first time this season as it walked off on Martin County 8-7 in eight innings Wednesday in the GGI Classic at Lake Worth. The Chiefs (5-12) built a 5-1 lead through two, but then allowed the Tigers (7-7) to score six in the top of the third. Santaluces came back for two runs to tie in the bottom of the inning. The Chiefs then scored in the bottom of the eighth to win. MJ Restivo went 3-for-3 with a double. AJ Orrica had four walks and two runs, and Malik Lissone doubled.

Tournament host Lake Worth all won on a walkoff in the eighth in another GGI game. The Trojans (12-5) won their fourth in a row as Jonathan Rodriguez hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth. Joseph Pagan went 2-for-2 with three RBIs, and Omar Reyes went 2-for-4 with a triple. Nelson Velazquez and Tim Rivera doubled. Roger Edge led the Lions with a triple, run and RBI.

Wellington won its second consecutive in the Central Florida SLAM, defeating Dr. Phillips 6-5. The Panthers scored three in the bottom of the seventh as they tried to rally to win. Ryan Stark led the Wolverines (10-6), going six and two-thirds inning, striking out 10. Angelo Brunelas (two RBIs) and Christian Vasquez had three hits each, and Dylan Tosta drove in two runs.
