Highlights, Scores and Recaps for Tuesday, March 15th, 2016

Bryon Matos struck out 11 and allowed two hits as Lake Worth bounced back from a tough district loss Friday to Boca Raton, defeating Santaluces 5-1 in a 9A-10 game Tuesday. Nelson Velazquez doubled and tripled for the Trojans (9-5, 2-3).

Angelo Brunelas went 5-for-5 with a double, triple, RBI and two runs, including the winner that lifted Wellington to a 3-2 win over Bethany in the Hall of Fame Classic in Pompano Beach. Dom Paulo had three hits and drove in Brunelas for the winning run for the Wolverines (7-5). Jerry Cook had two hits, including a double, and scored, and Luke Panakos tossed four shutout innings in relief, striking out two.

Boca Raton won its sixth in a row and avenged an earlier loss to Park Vista to win 11-7 in a 9A-10 game.
