Chase Ashby went 2-for-5 with a grand slam and six RBIs to power second-ranked Park Vista to a 10-2 win over John I. Leonard on Friday. The Cobras (12-3) rebounded from losing back to back for the first time since 2013. Joe Kelly went 2-for-3 with two walks and a home run.
Eighth-ranked Dwyer extended its winning streak to four games as it defeated Olympic Heights in a 7A-14 game. Dylan Jones went 3-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs for the Panthers (10-3), who improved to 5-0 for first in the district. Michael Siriani (two RBIs) and Danny Lynch (2B, RBI) each had two hits, and Tyler Ahearn struck out six in five innings to get the win.
Aldrich De Jongh struck out 13 in a complete-game performance for sixth-ranked Trinity Christian in its 6-0 win over Jensen Beach. Angel Tiburcio went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs.
