Highlights, Scores and Recaps for Tuesday, February 16th, 2016

Luke Simpson allowed four hits and walked none while striking out four as Cardinal Newman walked off against St. John Paul 3-2 on Tuesday in a 4A-6 game. It was the first win this season for the Crusaders (1-3). Shane Drohan had two hits and drove in three runs. Christian Larson went 2-for-3, and PJ Como tripled and brought in a run for the Eagles (1-3).

In another 4A-6 game, American Heritage beat Oxbridge Academy 5-0 behind winning pitcher Justin Barney, who went five and one-third innings, striking out nine. He also doubled and scored twice. Nate Zuckerman doubled and drove in two runs, and Chris Ferara went 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Stallions (4-1).

Roger Edge picked up the win as Olympic Heights held off a Santaluces rally in the bottom of the seventh to win 2-1.
