Jonathan Fortunato went 2-for-3 with a run to pace Palm Beach Central in a 4-3 win over American Heritage on Saturday. The Broncos bounced back from a 4-3 loss to Jupiter the night before to improve to 4-3-1. The Stallions dropped to 5-3.
Tyler Switzer went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and Tanner Martinez 2-for-4 with three RBIs to guide Lake Worth Christian past Community Christian 9-3 in a 2A-7 game. Rovinel Mathilda went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs as the Defenders won their second in a row and improved to 5-3 overall and 4-0 in the district.
Nik Constantakos struck out 12 and allowed one hit in five innings as Jupiter Christian defeated Asheville Christian Academy 7-2.
