Highlights, Scores and Recaps for Friday, February 26th, 2016

Seminole Ridge used a three-run third inning to break open a tie score and beat Forest Hill 4-1 as Kyle Farjad pitched a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts. Keaton Baird doubled for the Hawks (5-0-1, 3-0). The Falcons dropped to 5-2, 1-2.

Wellington scored twice in the first inning and made the lead hold up in a 2-1 win over Royal Palm Beach. Ryan Stark allowed two hits and struck out three in his solid six and a half hours on the mound for the Wolverines (3-3, 1-1). Angelo Brunelas doubled and drove in two. He also earned the save.

Jupiter snapped a three-game skid and also avenged an earlier loss to Palm Beach Central by beating the Broncos 4-3 in 9A-9. Starting pitcher Zak Sprankle struck out five in four and two-thirds innings for the Warriors (3-4). Winning pitcher James Reynolds struck out three in two and one-third innings of scoreless, hitless ball. Connor Power went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs for the Broncos (3-3-1).

Logan Rataiczak pitched a three-hitter with 15 strikeouts to lead Boca Raton Christian past Zion Lutheran 14-2 in 2A-7. Michael Walsh went 3-for-4 with a triple, two runs and two RBIs, and Austin Smith added two hits, including a double, and drove in two runs.
