Highlights, Scores and Recaps for Friday, February 12th, 2016

Carmine Lane tossed five shutout innings and struck out four as American Heritage beat Atlantic 7-0 on Friday to capture the Santaluces Slam championship. He also was a force at the plate, going 4-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs. Chris Ferrera added three hits, including a pair of doubles, and drove in a run, and Tanner Brown went 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI for the Stallions (3-1).

In other Slam games, Benjamin defeated Jupiter 3-1 in the third-place game, Palm Beach Central topped Santaluces 7-1 and Trinity Christian downed John I. Leonard 16-5. Jack Keiser went 2-for-3 with a run for the Buccaneers. James Reynolds threw four innings of one-hit ball for the Jupiter. A night after getting no-hit, the Broncos responded with nine hits, three of which came from Brandon Powers (2B, 3B, 2 RBIs, R) and another two from Conner Powers (2 RBIs, R, 2B). Joey Daanjti (3-for-4, 3 RBIs) and Joseph Cicilia (2-for-2, 3 RBIs) led Trinity Christian.
