Highlights, Scores and Recaps for Tuesday, March 31th, 2015

Boca Raton had only one hit but it made it count and found a way to come up with a three-run third inning that was key in its 3-2 win over 8A-10 rival Spanish River on Tuesday. Cam Weinberger struck out seven, walked two and allowed one hit in his six innings. Mitchell Senger earned the win for Boca, pitching six innings and striking out five. The Bobcats remain in second place in the district behind Park Vista.

Thomas Szapucki struck out 11 and allowed no hits in five scoreless innings in Dwyer’s 2-0 win over Atlantic in 7A-13. The Panthers, who have won three in a row, are at the top of the district.

Also in 7A-13, Forest Hill withstood a two-run rally in the top of the seventh to edge Olympic Heights 9-8.

Reese Albert hit for the cycle, scoring four runs and driving in four to help Jupiter pound Palm Beach Gardens 13-3 in an 8A-9 game. The Warriors are unbeaten in the district at 5-0.
