Highlights, Scores and Recaps for Tuesday, April 21st, 2015

Atlantic rallied for the winning run in the bottom of the eighth to win 4-3 over West Boca in a 7A-13 game Tuesday. Stefan LeClerc pitched six strong innings, striking out five, and Alex Cordes drove in three runs. Brach Thomas went 2-for-2 with a double.

In addition to Atlantic, Spanish River, King’s Academy, Benjamin, Suncoast and Oxbridge Academy won their district playoff games Tuesday.

Spanish River downed Santaluces 3-0 to move on to Wednesday’s semifinal against top-seeded Park Vista.

King’s Academy beat Santaluces 10-1 to move on to play top-seeded American Heritage at 4:30 p.m. today.

Benjamin rolled past Florida Air 12-2 in 3A-13, setting up a championship with John Carroll at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Tyler Lavery pitched a complete-game two-hitter with four strikeouts in Suncoast’s 1-0 win over Bayside in 5A-15. The Chargers earned a spot in Thursday’s championship against Palm Bay.

Oxbridge Academy nipped Jupiter Christian 3-2 as Alex Rao picked up the win in 3A-14. The win sets up a semifinal against top-seeded Trinity Christian at 7 p.m. tonight.
