Alex Bialakis struck out 10 and allowed three hits in five innings as Pope John Paul II rebounded from a loss to Spanish River two nights earlier to defeat 4A-13 foe King’s Academy 3-2 on Thursday.

Atlantic outlasted Spanish River 15-11 as the teams combined for 25 hits.

Angel Turicio and Brandon McCabe combined on a three-hitter as Trinity Christian edged Boynton Beach 1-0. Luke Comerford also allowed three hits for the Tigers.

Zach Chivers struck out 11 in six innings to guide Oxbridge past Highlands Christian 11-1 in 3A-14 game. The Thunderwolves (4-1) are at the top of the district standings at 2-0.
