Royal Palm Beach’s Triston McKenzie had a career night, striking out 15 and limiting West Boca to two hits in a 2-0 victory Friday in 7A-13. The win was the second in a row and third in the past four games for the Wildcats, who opened the year with two losses.
Park Vista’s Jordan Poore also had a career night, striking out 13 and hitting a homer in Park Vista’s 12-2 win over King’s Academy.
Jared Spector’s bases-loaded walk scored Ivan Ortiz for the winning run in the 10th inning as Olympic Heights bounced back from a loss to defeat Forest Hill in another 7A-13 matchup.
The action didn’t stop there in 7A-13 as Thomas Szapucki struck out 11 and Connor Webb doubled in the go-ahead run for Dwyer in a 2-0 win over Atlantic.
Anthony Elias earned the win in Seminole Ridge’s 9-7 victory over Wellington in 8A-9. The Hawks capitalized on a five-seventh to win.
American Heritage won its fifth in a row and second in 4A-13 as the Stallions beat Pope John Paul II 8-4.
A pair of two-run home runs by Michael Amditis and TJ Tamaccio proved key in Boca Raton’s 8-2 win over rival Spanish River in 8A-10.
