District Playoff Recaps For Palm Beach County For Tuesday, April 23rd

Suncoast 3, Fort Pierce Westwood 0 – Braden Hartigan allowed one hit and struck out six in his six and one-thirds innings on the mound to guide the Chargers (13-8), who will play number one seed Jensen Beach in Thursday’s championship. Carson Morris hit a two-run home run. This is the second consecutive year Suncoast has reached the regionals.

Atlantic 10, Olympic Heights 0 – Brad Myott struck out four and earned the win, pitching six strong innings to pace the Eagles (19-7), who have won six in a row and lost just twice in the past two months as one of the hottest teams in Palm Beach County. Myott also scored and drove in a run. Joey Ohannesian tripled and drove in two runs. Michael Buckley had a hit and drove in two more.
Atlantic will play at West Boca, an 11-1 winner over Lake Worth, in the championship at 6 p.m. Thursday. West Boca swept the season series against the Eagles, winning 4-3 and 7-6, and is the only team to beat them since February 22nd. Should be one heck of a championship.
