Boca Raton 3, Miami Palmetto 1 – Mike Spooner went 2-for-3 with a run, and Andrew Sperling went 1-for-2 with an RBI to pace the Bobcats (7-9), who won their second in a row in the Sarasota Classic.
Wellington 9, Dr. Phillips 5 – Spencer Stockton went 2-for-2 with a home run and three RBIs, and Michael Cusenza went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs to lead the Wolverines (9-7) in Orlando. It was the second win in a row for Wellington.
American Heritage 6, South Fork 0 – Lucius Fox went 2-for-3 with two runs, an RBI and five stolen bases to power the Stallions (8-9) in The Classic in Orlando.
Benjamin 14, New Smyrna Beach 7 – Bennett Sousa went 4-for-5 with five RBIs and two runs, and Kody Ruedisili went 2-for-5 with two runs and an RBI as the Buccaneers (13-3) won their first game in The Classic. Matt Harris scored twice and drove in two, and D.J. Paone went 2-for-4 with three runs and two RBIs.
Mt. Dora Bible 10, St. Andrew’s 9 – Justin Valente went 2-for-4 with two runs and three RBIs as the Scots (5-7) dropped their second in a row in the Mount Dora Invitational.
Palm Beach Central 3, Spruce Creek 1 – John Padich struck out five in a complete-game effort, and Danny Hernandez went 2-for-4 with a double as the Broncos (12-3) won their opener in the Powered by Tradition Classic in Orlando.
Jupiter Christian 6, St. Albans, D.C. 3 – Franko Guardascione went 3-for-4 with a double and RBI for the Eagles (10-5) as they won their fifth in a row.
Boca Raton Christian 14, Sheridan Hills 2 – Jonathan Kreg led the Blazers (8-4) by going 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
Park Vista 6, King’s Academy 3 – Matthew Mika went 2-for-3 and Tre Amburgey 2-for-4 as the Cobras (11-3) topped the Lions (9-7). Mark Zippin, Dominic Mercurio and Joe Gomez had two hits apiece for King’s.
