It was a light schedule on Wednesday in Palm Beach, but there were some big performances. Here’s a recap of the day’s action…

Forest Hill 10, Lake Worth 5 – Michael Rosario struck out 10 and picked up the win as the Falcons rebounded from an opening-day loss to Seminole Ridge. Forest Hill will meet another 1-1 team, Cardinal Newman, on Thursday.

Park Vista 8, Okeechobee 0 – Tyler Barre paced the offense for the Cobras in their season opener. Barre went 2-for-4 with a two doubles, a run and three RBIs. Austin Smith had a strong overall day. Smith was the winning pitcher, going five shutout innings and striking out eight. At the dish, Smith went 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs.

Seminole Ridge 13, Cardinal Newman 2 – The Hawks picked up their second mercy-rule win of the week in this one. Tyler Murley went 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Seminole Ridge will look to continue its hot start Thursday when it faces Lake Worth.
